About Me
I am a PhD student at the University of Cape Town (UCT), in the Computer Science department, and a PhD Research Fellow at the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering through the HPI Research School at UCT.
My focus is on multilingual ontologies, particularly within the context of low-resourced natural languages within Sub-Saharan Africa.
Supervisor: Prof. Tommie Meyer
Research Topic: Modelling Localised Representations of an OWL Ontology
I have an MPhil Digital Curation (with distinction), also from UCT.
My dissertation topic was on Linguistic Linked Data, and I used a little-known dictionary in the public domain, The English-Xhosa Dictionary for Nurses, as the case study. My supervisor was Richard Higgs.
